Phil Collins

Philip David Charles "Phil" Collins, LVO (born January 30, 1951) is an English musician and actor. He is best known as the drummer and later lead vocalist for the progressive rock group Genesis and later found success as a solo artist.

In 1999, Collins, with the help of Mark Macina, wrote and recorded the songs for Disney's famous animated film, Tarzan, which he sang in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish. One of his award winning singles from the film was "You'll Be in My Heart," which won the Academy Award for Best Song. Four years later, Collins composed the songs for Disney's Brother Bear.

In 2002, he was named a Disney Legend, claiming the record for shortest time between his first contribution for the Walt Disney Company (in 1996, when he first started to write the music for Tarzan) and being named a Disney Legend, until Anika Noni Rose beat it in 2011 for her role in The Princess and the Frog.

He was also the voice for Lucky in The Jungle Book 2.
